Specific Training for Motorcycle Racers
Whether you’re a Professional Motorcycle Racer, a Track Day
Enthusiast or you just enjoy a ride round the lanes, being a fitter
rider will make you a safer and faster rider.
Over an 18month period I have developed a sports specific programme
aimed towards the needs and requirements of Motorcycle Racing and
riding, Using muscle dynamics and micro movements it is possible
to train the parts of your body in a way that best reflects the
stresses from riding a modern sports bike.
The benefits of this particular way of training will become quickly
apparent.
- Less fatigue
- Faster responses
- Better concentration
- Increased confidence
If you ride to the limit on a Track, a Fitter, stronger physique
is sure to lower your overall times, and carrying more lean tissue
has been proven to reduce minor strains and decrease recovery times
in the event that the worst happens and you come off.
Practical Self Defense
Now we have all tried the usual martial arts, trouble is you kind
of get the feeling that when accosted by ‘Youff wiv a blade’
it’s not going to work. And you would probably be right! Attempt
‘flying lotus, fat budda’ stance and the mugger is going
to laugh and nick your valuables anyway.
So how about trying an unusual form of self defence.
This Self Defence system is based on natural reactions and body
movements and because of this, a reasonable level of confidence
and ability can be achieved in a relatively short period of time.
An initial 12 week course will cover most attack situations, including
dealing with knife attack, being grabbed from behind and frontal
confrontations after which you should be able to respond, defend,
and neutralise your attacker before escaping.
This is an easy system to learn using techniques honed from years
of working as a Doorman, so I do know what works and what doesn’t
Oh, and you get to practice full contact on me… I’m
‘ard’ see! Is no point learning all this stuff if you
can’t take a 15 stone bloke down.
The self defence can be incorporated into a normal fitness training
session if you would like.
There is no need to wear any special clothing, just what ever you
feel most comfortable in….. There is no need to wear Martial
Arts PJ’s as people don’t usually wear them out to the
pub.
